Organization of schools
The project has supported the organization of two interdisciplinary schools in Messina.
The PETASPIN 2024 School on “Spintronics: fundamentals and applications” – III edition (https://www.petaspin.com/school-of-applied-spintronics-3-edition/) focused on spintronic technology and unconventional computing paradigms. The school with many lecturers expert in spintronics was planned to include in the program new trends in unconventional computing applied to the spintronic technology including reservoir computing.
The PETASPIN 2025 School on “Spintronics: fundamentals and applications” – IV edition (https://www.petaspin.com/school-of-applied-spintronics-iv-edition/) was organized with a learning objective directly related to the MMagyc project. The program offered the skills necessary to understand magneto elastic behaviour and its potential application in spintronic technology with lectures covering fundamental aspects of magnetoelastic coupling discussing their applications in magnonics and spintronics, in MEMS development. In particular, the lectures of prof. Bertacco from Politecnico of Milan entitled “MEMS and NEMS meet Magnonics and Spintronics” was focused on the status of the research in Italy on the cointegration of MEMS/NEMS with spintronic technology. During the school it has been planned a future collaboration to realize in the nanofacility of POLIFAB (https://www.polifab.polimi.it/) the accelerometers and gyroscopes designed in MMAGYC.
